My father remembers the time of Charles's death. He recalls the story as something along the lines of this:
Charles and other children were jumping into a pile of raked leaves during school recess. Afterwards, they went back into the schoolhouse to continue classes. Charles put his head down on his desk and, later, the teacher discovered something was wrong with him. On his Death Certificate, it states that Charles had not suffered any injury, but that the interval between the onset of his symptoms and his death was 12 hours.
