MARRIAGE NOTES: This appears to be Edward E. Bratcher's first marriage. Edward and his second wife, Mallie Ann Kefauver, are buried under the same stone, and they passed on many years after Cordelia departed.

It also appears that Cova Bratcher was Edward and Cordelia's first child. Cova was born in 1887, so I have posited that this marriage occurred before Cova's year of birth.

MARRIAGE NOTES: Edward's first wife (Cordelia) passed away on December 25, 1889, three days after what appears to be her second child was born. Guy Bratcher, the son of Edward and his second wife, was born in 1892. For this reason, I suggest that Edward and Malley were married ABT 1890 to 1891.

Cordelia Bratcher died on December 25, 1889. Next to her in Kefauver Cemetery is Coleman J. Bratcher, son of E.E. & C. Bratcher. It would seem that E.E. and Cordelia were the parents of Coleman J, who was born on December 22, 1889. It appears then that Cordelia died on Christmas Day, 1889, three days after giving birth to Coleman J., who went on to live for only about six months.

This is Martha Ellen Butler Bratcher Stone, her son Edward Ethridge Bratcher ("Ned"), his daugher Cova Bratcher Campbell, and her daughter Thelma Campbell. Martha Butler died in 1922, and Thelma was born in 1907. Given the appearance of Thelma's age, I would estimate that this photo was taken c. 1913. Obtained from Barbara Huff Gardner in November 2010.
